Irina Shidou is a young girl who was raised in a church. She was taught that all non-believers are evil and that she must kill them. However, when she meets Issei Hyoudou, a high school student who is also a devil, she begins to question everything she has ever been taught. Irina eventually becomes friends with Issei and his friends, and she begins to learn that there is more to the world than just black and white. She also learns that there is more to her than just being a sword fighter. She is a kind and compassionate person who wants to help others, and she eventually finds her place in the world as a member of the Gremory family.
